Journées Européennes du Patrimoine : "Visite guidée de la cité scolaire René Billères"
To mark the European Heritage Days on September 20 and 21, the Cité Scolaire René Billères in Argelès-Gazost (65) will be opening its doors to the public on Saturday morning. The guided tours, at 9 and 10.30 am, will be open to all: students, former students, parents, staff, neighbors, local residents, non-local residents and the curious? All are welcome! These tours will be an opportunity to discover or rediscover the history and richness of this architectural and artistic complex, which makes this school an emblem of our valleys.

This school, a testament to a bygone era, is one of the largest in France in terms of floor space, and in a unique setting—familiar to many of you—it harbors architectural and artistic treasures that are unimaginablethat many are unaware of—even among its daily users (students, parents, and staff).
Its buildings, which exemplify postwar avant-garde architecture, and its richly diverse grounds make it an exceptional setting for the education and learning of the children of our valleys.
